Austin Powers star Verne Troyer has passed away at the age of just 49. The news of his passing was announced on his official Instagram page earlier today. There was no casue of death given in the inital statement.
Part of the message on his social media read:
“Verne was an extremely caring individual. He wanted to make everyone smile, be happy, and laugh,” a statement posted to his social media said. “Anybody in need, he would help to any extent possible. Verne hoped he made a positive change with the platform he had and worked towards spreading that message every day.”

Troyer shot to fam as Mike Myers’ Dr. Evil sidekick Mini-Me in Austin Powers in the 1990s, starring in its two sequels Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and Austin Powers in Goldmember.
He also appeared in Celebrity Big Brother in the UK. His credits also include The Love Guru, Trailer Park Boys and Keith Lemon: The Movie.
