The Nee brothers Aaron and Adam are set to direct the new version of the hit 1980s TV series/ toy range Masters Of The Universe over at Sony Pictures, so reports Variety. The new movie is written by David Goyer, who was at one time also set to direct. It is scheduled for a 2019 release.
The film will be based on the 80s property which revolves around the conflict between the heroic He-Man, real name Prince Adam, and the evil Skeletor on the planet Eternia.
The property was turned into a movie previously. Cannon Films were behind Masters Of The Universe, a movie starring Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella as He-Man and Skeletor respectively.
The Nee brothers exploded onto the scene with their 2015 movie Band Of Robbers, a film which revolved around two old friends who search for hidden treasure inside a pawn shop.
Masters Of The Universe will debut in cinemas in December 2019.
