A fourth movie in the xXx series is on the way. The news was announced late yester as the franchise found a new home at The H Collective. Both D.J. Caruso, director of the last instalment in the series xXx: Return of Xander Cage, will return to direct, as will Vin Diesel, who will reprise his role as Xander Cage.
The H Collective CEO Nic Crawley said: “During my time at Paramount I was lucky to be involved in the development and distribution of ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage.’ The response from the Chinese box office was unprecedented. Bringing the next installment of the xXx franchise to The H Collective complements our diversified slate and mission to produce content for a global audience.”
The first three films have grossed nearly $1 billion at the global box-office with the last film grabbing $346 million alone.
The release adds that a December 2018 start date in terms of shooting on ‘xXx 4’ is being targeted.
More as it rolls in.
