Additional Cast For ‘Doctor Dolittle’ Feature Announced

Robert Downey Jr. has taken to his social networks to announced the planned voice cast for the upcoming animated feature The Voyage Of Doctor Dolittle. On his official Twitter page, Downey confirmed that he will play the title character of Dolittle in he movie. He will be joined by Rami Malek as Chee-Chee the gorilla, Octavia Spencer as Dab-Dab the duck, Kumail Nanjiani as Plimpton the ostrich, John Cena as Yoshi the Polar Bear, Marion Cotillard as Tutu the fox, Carmen Ejogo as Regine the Lioness, Craig Robinson as Fleming the mouse, and Frances de la Tour in an unnamed role.

Emma Thompson also stars as Polynesia the parrot, Selena Gomez as Betsy the giraffe, Tom Holland as Jip the dog, and Ralph Fiennes as Barry the tiger, while Antonio Banderas and Michael Sheen make up the rest of the cast in ‘human’ roles.

Stephen Gaghan is writing and directing the film, which kicks off filming in London very soon for a release in May of 2019.
