The Walking Dead is one of the most popular television shows in the world. People across the globe are obsessed with series that deals with people trying to survive during a zombie apocalypse. Week after week they tune in to find out the fate of their beloved characters and this is a show that much like Game of Thrones, is not afraid to cull a fan favourite or two.
One character currently alive on the show is Father Gabriel. He joined back in season five where he was met with a luke-warm reception from viewers. This was mainly due to the characters weak and cowardice demeanour. Since then though, the character has gone on journey and has recently started to win audiences over. The actor tasked with playing the complex priest is Seth Gilliam.
Gilliam has been acting for years and has racked up roles in Teen Wolf, Courage Under Fire, The Wire and Starship Troopers. He was also one of the many stars in London this past weekend at the third annual Walker Stalker Con. The event gives fans direct access to their favourite Walking Dead cast members, past and present. During the weekend we sat down with Seth to talk through Gabriel’s journey, how it feels to be told people hate you and what supernatural being he has his sights on next. Watch our interview in full below:
