Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst is to direct John Travolta in a new movie named Moose. Shooting has already started on the movie, which sees Travolta take the lead role of a movie lover who turns into a crazy stalker.
IndieWire reports the news of the project, which is written by Durst and Dave Bekerman. The movie is based on Durst’s personal experiences dealing with a stalker years ago. This is Durst’s third directorial effort, following The Education of Charlie Banks and The Longshots.
Variety has more:
Travolta is playing the title character, a rabid movie fan obsessed with his favorite celebrity action hero, portrayed by Devon Sawa. As Moose’s obsession grows stronger, his fixation turns from stalking to the ambition of destroying the star’s life — a story inspired by a real-life fan who stalked Durst many years ago.
More news on the project as we get it.
