After fans campaigned to get American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson cast as Cheetah in the upcoming Wonder Woman sequel, it appears that another actress may be in the running to take the big villain role in the upcoming movie. Deadline reports that none other than Kristen Wiig is in talks to play the villainess in the sequel, which will once again star Gal Gadot in the title role and see Patty Jenkins take the helm as director.
The Wonder Woman sequel is said to be set in the 1980s during the Cold War. Wiig is a great choice for the role of Cheetah, who first appeared in Wonder Woman #6 all of the way back in 1943. The character was created by William Moulton Marston and H.G. Peter.
Wonder Woman 2, or whatever they decide to call it, already has a release date: November 1st, 2019. More news as we get it.
