The word on the street is that the sequel to the hugely popular It may start shooting this summer. The website Omega Underground, who are usually very reliable, are reporting that It: Chapter 2, as it is currently being referred to, is slated to begin this summer ahead of a September 2019 release.
They state that It: Chapter 2 is expected to begin principal photography on June 18th and stage work to take place at Pinewood Toronto Studios, as well as remote locations.
The website adds that the film could wrap sometime around October-November, which is more than enough time to hit its planned release for September 26th, 2019.
Casting news is vague presently, but Bill Skarsgård is assumed to be returning as Pennywise.
It, released in 2017, grossed a whopping $700 million from around the world. Andy Muschietti, who helmed the first movie, will return to direct the sequel.
