Are you a Video Game guru? Would you be able to recognise a retro game from a single screenshot? Why not have a crack at this quiz and see how you do!
The first true video game was born in 1972 with the birth of Pong. Developed by Atari, it was initially built as an arcade table tennis game and as the game progressed the ball would move faster and faster until the computer wins.
Atari monopolised the ‘70s; it released the Atari 2600, which included the joystick and games (in colour!) up until the video game crash in 1983 and the rise of a little company called Nintendo. Throughout the 80’s and early 90’s, there were really only two names in the video game market. Sega and Nintendo- Sonic and Mario, with fans constantly fighting to decide who’s the best. That is until 1995 and the launch of the Playstation splitting the demands of gamers threeways and paving the way for the 2000’s and the colossal leaps forward in gaming since.
These games were so big, they were even made into blockbuster films and slot games. We know some excellent slot sites where you are rewarded with free spins. For instance, you get extra spins at Power Spins casino to reward your play. They make for a terrific way to throwback time and play retro games like Tetris and Space Invaders.
