James Bobin is attached to direct a film based on the Action Man toys over at Paramount Pictures. The film is being written by Simon Farnaby, who co-scripted the amazing Paddington 2, and will be based on the Hasbro dolls that were hugely popular in the 1980s.
Bobin was previously attached to direct the Men In Black/ 21 Jump Street crossover at Sony Pictures, but that project, while not off the table yet, has seemingly been put on the back burner in favour of a new direct MIB reboot with F. Gary Gray directing.

Bobin directed the two very successful Muppets movies for Disney, as well as the Alice In Wonderland sequel Alice Through The Looking Glass, also for the House of Mouse.
No timeline as yet for the new Action Man movie, but we’ll keep you posted.
