The Passion Of The Christ sequel is moving ahead with both Mel Gibson now confirmed to be returning to director Jim Caviezel set to reprise his role as Jesus Christ. The film will be the follow-up for Gibson’s 2004 effort, one of the most successful films of the early part of this century.
While out promoting his upcoming project Paul, Apostle of the Christ, Caviezel told USA Today:
“There are things that I cannot say that will shock the audience. It’s great … I won’t tell you how he’s going to go about it, but I’ll tell you this much, the film he’s going to do is going to be the biggest film in history. It’s that good.”
