Deadline is reporting that a What We Do In The Shadows TV series is in the works with Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi attached as part of the creative team. The planned 30-minute pilot will be based on the 2014 movie of the same name, which was co-written and co-directed by the pair.
The film revolves around Viago, Deacon and Vladislav,3 regular vampires who pay rent, do housework and go clubbing. When their 8000 year-old housemate turns 20-something Nick into a vampire, they begin to claim their stake in the modern world.
Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou and Harvey Guillen are all attached to star in the pilot over at FX. Deadline reports that Novak will play Nandor, the head vampire of the house. Berry plays Lazslo, the goofiest in the house, the type of vampire who turns into a bat and flies into a wall. Demetriou plays Nadja, the badass female vampire of the house while Guillen is believed to play Nandor’s assistant.
We are presuming that shooting is kicking off very soon. More as we get it
