Stranger Things actor David Harbour has confirmed to Variety that he has completed shooting the Hellboy reboot over at Lionsgate. The film sees Harbour play the red title character of the piece, alongside Ian McShane, Milla Jovovich, and Daniel Dae Kim.
The actor was in tip-top condition to take on the role of the famous comic book character, previously played by Ron Perlman in Guillermo del Toro’s film version. “It was hard. I’m 40 years old, and I’m running around punching giants,” he said to the trade.
Hellboy: Rise Of The Blood Queen, which is directed by Neil Marshall, will now spend the entirety of 2018 in post-production. It has a release date set for January 2019.
