There has been much speculation over whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie over the past few weeks. Regular visitors to the site will know where I stand on this (it IS a Christmas movie dammit, and an annual staple in our house), but there has seemingly been some confusion along the way. Well, now the film’s screenwriter Steven E. de Souza has weighed in on the debate via Twitter.
One active social user commented: “DH is about love, devotion, sacrifice, generosity, and resisting evil – how could it not be a Christmas movie?”
De Souza responded: “Plus a woman about to give birth features prominently.”
As is the second film.
Hopefully, we can finally put this to bed once and for all.
