Not content with appearances in the likes of the ‘Planet Of The Apes’ series (in War For The Planet of The Apes), and the Star Wars saga (upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story), Woody Harrelson is in talks to join the superhero universe with Venom. The actor, who is undergoing a bit of a career resurgence at the moment, will reportedly play a henchman in the film, alongside Tom Hardy, Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams, and Jenny Slate.
Production on Venom is already underway Stateside with Sony Pictures eyeing a release date next year. The movie, which revolves around Spider-Man’s greatest villain, will apparently share the world of Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is set in the MCU thanks to a special deal between Sony and Marvel Studios.
Ruben Fleischer is directing from a screenplay by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner.
