Entertainment Weekly has provided us with our very first look at X-Men: Dark Phoenix, the 1990s-set X-Men movie coming to screens next year courtesy of Simon Kinberg. The outlet has provided us with a number of photos from the production, a film which takes place ten years after the events of X-Men: Apocalypse.
“Pride is starting to get the better of him, and he is pushing the X-Men to more extreme missions,” director Simon Kinberg says of James McAvoy’s returning Charles Xavier.
“This is probably the most emotional X-Men we’ve done and the most pathos-driven,” star McAvoy adds. “There’s a lot of sacrifice and a lot of suffering.”
Also starring is Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler), Evan Peters (Quicksilver) and Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), who appears in most of the first look images, all of which you can see below.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix opens on November 2nd, 2018.
