The Final Trailer For ‘The Shape Of Water’ Is Here!

The Shape Of Water review

As part of a Facebook live event, Guillermo Del Toro has delivered the new, final trailer for this upcoming masterpiece The Shape Of Water.

We caught the film at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, and can quite honestly say that it is indeed one of the best movies of the year.

Here’s the official synopsis:

From master storyteller, Guillermo del Toro, comes The Shape Of Water – an other-worldly fairy tale, set against the backdrop of Cold War-era America circa 1962. In the hidden high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of isolation. Elisa’s life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment.

There are quite a few of reveals in this trailer, so if you want to go into the movie cold, it’s probably best if you avoid it. Our review of the film though, which you can find over here, is spoiler-free, so do take a look if you want.

Expect The Shape Of Water to feature heavily in the awards season build-up. The movie opens in the U.S. on the 8th December, and then in the U.K. on February 16th 2018.

Here’s that new trailer.

Here’s the extended Facebook live video featuring Del Toro’s Facebook talk.
