The very first image from Steven Spielberg’s The Post, a movie that didn’t go into production until earlier this year, and one that will see a release before the year is out, has landed online.
The story focuses on the release of the Pentagon Papers in the 1970s, which helped turn around public opinion on the Vietnam War.
Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Alison Brie, Sarah Paulson, Carrie Coon, David Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Tracy Letts, Bob Odenkirk, Jesse Plemons, Michael Stuhlberg, Zach Woods, and Bradley Whitford all star in the film, which will release in U.S. cinemas on December 22nd. Heavy Oscar-talk is being heard already.
The UK will bet a first-look at the film on January 19th. Here’s the first-look image as debuted by 20th Century Fox.
