The first season of new Netlifx TV series Mindhunter is absolutely blowing people away over on the streamer at the moment. The crime series debuted just about two weeks ago and comes to the screen from filmmaking legend David Fincher, who even directed four episodes.
Well, it seems like there’s a five-year plan for the series, as one of the actors from the series, Holt McCallany, who plays co-lead Bill Tench, revealed to Screen Rant. Here’s what he had to say:
“You know I’m in small, you know, supporting parts, peripheral parts. And so it was a big deal for me to be invited back by David in one of the leads. Because you know I believe in his talent, you know, and I know that you know, he wants to do five years of this show. Five seasons of these characters and so I’m hopeful, you know I don’t take anything for granted.”
Mindhunter is set in the late 1970s when two FBI agents expand criminal science by delving into the psychology of murder and getting uneasily close to all-too-real monsters.
The first season is comprised of ten episodes, all of which are available on Netflix now. We’ll bring you more news on any subsequent seasons as it comes our way.
