Gal Gadot will lead the cast of a new World War II revenge movie called Ruin before she steps into the boots of Wonder Woman for a new sequel. Deadline reports that the actress is set to join Justin Kurzel’s film, which is set to start shooting in the early part of 2018.
The trade blog reports that the movie is in the same vein of Inglorious Basterds and Fury, and revolves around a ‘nameless ex-Nazi captain navigates the ruins of post-WWII Germany. Determined to atone for his crimes during the war, he hunts down the surviving members of his former SS Death Squad.’
Kurzel is the man behind the recent Assassin’s Creed movie adaptation, as well as the big-screen Macbeth, both of which starred Michael Fassbender.
Gadot is also signed up to star opposite Bradley Cooper in Deeper, and will apparently shoot ‘Wonder Woman 2’ next summer.
