‘Pretty Woman’ Musical Heading To Broadway In 2018

Pretty Woman: The Musical is heading to New York’s Broadway in the latter half of 2018. The new musical, which will be based on the popular 1990 film that starred Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, will feature music and lyrics by rock legend Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance, with a book by Garry Marshall and J.F. Lawton.

Pretty Woman: The Musical is the World Premiere stage production featuring direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde, Hairspray), an original score by Grammy® winner Bryan Adams (“Summer of ’69,” “Everything I Do”) and his longtime songwriting partner Jim Vallance, and a book by the movie’s legendary director Garry Marshall and screenwriter J.F. Lawton.

Vivian and Edward are unlikely soulmates who overcome all odds to find each other… and themselves. Experience the moments you love from the movie — and get to know these iconic characters in a whole new way — in this dazzlingly theatrical take on a love story for the ages. Film and TV actress Samantha Barks will star as Vivian , while Tony and Grammy Award winner Steve Kazee will play Edward.

Pretty Woman: The Musical is produced by Paula Wagner, Nice Productions, LPO, New Regency Productions, Roy Furman, James L. Nederlander, Caiola Productions, Hunter Arnold, Stage Entertainment, The John Gore Organization.

The musical will land on the stage in the fall of 2018.
