Watch The First Clip From Guillermo del Toro’s ‘The Shape Of Water’

The very first clip from Guillermo del Toro’s next film The Shape Of Water, one which is getting rave reviews following its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, has just been released online.

The Shape Of Water – an other-worldly fairy tale, is set against the backdrop of Cold War era America circa 1963. In the hidden high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of silence and isolation. Elisa’s life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment. Rounding out the cast are Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins, Michael Stuhlbarg and Doug Jones.

It was also announced yesterday that the film will also come to the BFI London Film Festival following a bow in Toronto later this month.

The Playlist posted the video on their Facebook page late yesterday. Take a look below.

The Shape Of Water opens in the UK on December 4th.
