Alan Partridge, the comedic alter ego of Steve Coogan, is set to return to the BBC later in the year. Partridge will appear in a 25th anniversary special before the end of the year, 25 years since his debut on BBC Radio back in 1992.
Shane Allen, controller of BBC Comedy says a sixty minute special will air in late 2017, with a new BBC One series set to air next year.
Both are to be produced by Baby Cow Productions.
Shane Allen said in a statement: “Alan Partridge is in the top tier of comedy characters of all time, it fills my comedy heart with joy to welcome him back to BBC One and BBC Two.”
More as we get it.
