Narcos star Pedro Pascal has joined the cast of The Equalizer 2, the sequel to the Denzel Washington action vehicle from a couple of years back. Pascal, who returns for season three of Narcos on Netflix on September 1st, in an unnamed role, but it has been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision that his part is that of the lead villain.
Washington will return as retired black ops government operative Robert McCall in the forthcoming feature, reprising the role in his only sequel in his vast movie career. The 2014-released The Equalizer, which was directed by Antoine Fuqua (who also returns), grossed over $190 million worldwide upon its original debut.
Pascal will also be seen on the big screen soon, in the epic Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which comes to cinemas in September.
