Deadpool and The Transporter Refuelled star Ed Skrein has officially joined the cast of Neil Marshall’s reboot of Hellboy. The British actor, who is also known for the likes of Game Of Thrones, is set to play the role of Major Ben Daimio, a rugged military member of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense who, due to a supernatural encounter, can turn into a jaguar when angered or in pain.
He joins the already cast David Harbour, who assumes the lead role, and Ian McShane, who will play Hellboy’s adoptive father in the film. Mill Jovovich was last week confirmed to play the villain of the piece, the Blood Queen.
Shooting is about to commence in the UK and Bulgaria with a launch date in the diary for 2018.
