Deadline are reporting that none other than Milla Jovovich is in talks to play the villain in the forthcoming Hellboy reboot, Hellboy: Rise Of The Blood Queen. If cast, Jovovich will play the title character in the movie, which is being directed by The Descent and frequent Game Of Thrones director Neil Marshall.
David Harbour is playing the red cigar-chomping comic book hero, taking over things from Ron Perlman, who played Hellboy in Guillermo del Toro’s two previous big-screen adventures. Ian McShane is set to play Professor Bloom in the new movie, a role played by the late John Hurt in Hellboy and Hellboy II.
Filming is set to start imminently on the reboot, with the movie looking to arrive in cinemas in 2018. The word on the street is that it is set to be an R-rated affair with limited use of CGI, a fact which is sure to please fans.
We’ll bring you more as we get it.
