The very first image of Hailee Steinfeld from the set of the Transformers spin-off Bumblebee has been revealed. The actress herself revealed the image via Twitter as production officially kicks off.
Bumblebee is set in the 1980s, specifically 1987, though will feature considerably fewer Transformers, concentrating on the big, yellow title star. It is thought that the filmmakers are pitching the film towards a slightly younger audience too.
Kubo and the Two Strings helmer Travis Knight is directing and WWE wrestling legend John Cena is also amongst the cast.
The film will hit cinemas in the winter of 2018. Here’s the first image of Steinfeld’s character of Charlie Watson in the movie.
