The very first images of Bruce Willis in the remake of classic revenge movie Death Wish have been released for the world to see. The pics show Bruce as Paul Kersey in the film, which is about a New York father who is transformed into a killing machine after his family is torn apart by a violent act.
Eli Rith directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Joe Carnahan, based upon the novel by Brian Garfield.
Roth recently spoke with Yahoo Movies, about the film, which promises to take Bruce back to the glory days. Here’s what he had to say.
“We wanted to bring back that great, classic Bruce Willis we all know and love and just do a fun, badass update of a revered classic. I wanted to bring Bruce back to that ‘Fifth Element,’ ‘Unbreakable,’ ‘Die Hard‘ glory and have him craft another iconic performance, and I really think he did it. I mean I really think this can be his ‘Taken.’ The fun is watching him go crazy and watching someone slowly move the moral goal post.”
Death Wish opens in U.S. cinemas on 22nd November. It is still awaiting a U.K. release date. Here are those new images.
