For those that are unaware, there is a new Saw movie in some stage of production, due for release later this year. Up until now it has been called Saw: Legacy, but that looks to have changed now to simply Jigsaw.
Due to arrive in cinemas on October 27th Stateside (and UK cinemas a week earlier on October 20th), just in time for Halloween, the film revolves around various dead bodies that begin to turn up all over the city, each meeting their demise in a variety of grisly ways. All investigations begin to point the finger at deceased killer John Kramer, the Jigsaw of the title, and the villain from the previous seven movies.
The horror film is directed by the Spierig brothers (Michael and Peter) and stars Laura Vandervoort (Bitten, Smallville) and Hannah Anderson (Shoot the Messenger, Lizzie Borden Took an Ax).
There aren’t too many other details about the film, or indeed if Tobin Bell will return as Kramer, but we do have a flashy new logo courtesy of the studio that has just popped up online. Check that out above.
