Warner Bros. Pictures have debuted the Annabelle Creation trailer. The film expands The Conjuring universe even further, the horror-sequel set to arrive in UK cinemas later this year.
Annabelle Creation trailer arrives online
The Annabelle Creation trailer has arrived to scare us.
The story is focused on a dollmaker and his wife, whose daughter died twenty years earlier, as they decide to open their home to a nun and several girls from an orphanage that has been closed. The dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle, sets her sights on the girls, turning their shuddered shelter into a storm of terror. The film is a prequel to the very successful Annabelle, which was released in 2014. That movie grossed a whopping $256 million around the world, from a budget of just $6.5 million.
Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Anthony LaPaglia, and Miranda Otto lead the cast of the film, which is directed by David F. Sandberg, the filmmaker responsible for last year’s excellent Lights Out.
Gary Dauberman is scripting Annabelle Creation, with Peter Safran and James Wan returning to produce for the studio. Executive producers are Toby Emmerich, Richard Brener, Walter Hamada, Dave Neustadter and Hans Ritter.
More films are planned within The Conjuring‘s universe, including an in-production spin-off The Nun, as well as a forthcoming feature set around the Crooked Man. The Hallow’s Corin Hardy will helm The Nun, which will be the next to hit cinemas in 2018.
