Happy Death Day trailer arrives online

October in cinemas is of course the month of the scary movies. Over the years we’ve had all manner of frightening flicks take over the multiplexes, from Saw to Paranormal Activity and Annabelle. This October at the pictures up is shaping up quite nicely. Firstly, we have Saw: Legacy, which sees the mighty horror franchise seek to reclaim its Halloween throne, but there’s also new contender, Happy Death Day.

It’s a rather odd title and the premise is even stranger, a young college student, Tree, finds herself reliving the day that she dies. It’s basically a horror movie version of Groundhog Day, with Tree desperately trying to work out the identity of her murderer in a bid to free herself of this monstrous time loop. A first look trailer has arrived, check it out now.

Don’t you just hate it when it’s your birthday and someone decides to kill you? That’s so not the type of present you want to be gifted with. Happy Death Day definitely has a very interesting and intriguing idea, plus it’s from Blumhouse. The new horror house gave the fantastic Get Out earlier this year and have also worked on Insidious, The Gift and The Visit. This trailer points to Happy Death Day being a lot of Scream like fun.

Happy Death Day has a suitably scary release date in the US, releasing on Friday the 13th October. The UK has a slightly less scary date of Friday 20th October. We’ll bring you more news on Happy Death Day as it is thrown our way.
