It looks like a sequel to this year’s xXx: Return Of Xander Cage may be on the way. The news comes from the filmmaker D.J. Caruso’s Twitter account, who confirmed that some meetings are taking place next week. Now, this is far from any kind of any confirmation that sequel is happenings as meetings are indeed just meetings, but it’s a start for fans of the franchise. More on the xXx Return Of Xander Cage sequel below.
xXx Return Of Xander Cage sequel bringing the whole team back?
Caruso replied to a fan on the social media site who referred to an Instagram post by Ruby Rose. This one:

A fan referred to the comments “while I’m here I can’t forget my training for Adele in xXx… but… more new exciting news on that soon ;)”, to which Caruso replied:
“Yes meetings next week. Honing in on story and start dates.”
In addition, when asked if the likes of Deepika Padukone and Nina Dobrev would return, he replied simply, “Oh yes,” followed by “All coming back”.
Again, fare from any kind of official green light from any of that but the third movie in the Paramount Pictures series hit a note with fans. The film, released globally in January before lead Vin Diesel returned to the role of Dominic Toretto in Fast and Furious 8, took in $346 million from an $85 million budget.
We favoured the film in our original theatrical review, and a recent home release review, so would welcome another movie, as ridiculous as they are.
We said:
In the end, if you’re looking for a prestigious, Academy-Award nominated feature, this clearly isn’t for you. However, if you enjoy silly, over-the-top action and a very self-aware film that just provides an hour and forty-five minutes of pure, mind-numbing, shove-popcorn-in-your-face entertainment for you to watch as you drink a beer then xXx is what you need. And for all the bonus feature junkies, this has some good ones too.
More on the sequel news as we get it.
