Kevin Costner is set to head to television for a new ten-part series titled Yellowstone for Sicario and Hell Or High Water scribe Taylor Sheridan. Variety report the news of Costner’s move to the planned show which will tell the story of the fictional Dutton family which owns the largest contiguous ranch in the United States — a piece of property that borders Yellowstone National Park and puts the family in constant conflict with a wide range of rivals.
The trade says that the 10-episode first season is set to go into production this fall and premiere in summer, 2018 with Costner starring as family patriarch John Dutton.
Sheridan, who has his latest film Wind River premiering at this month’s Cannes Film Festival, will also direct Yellowstone, which is set-up at Paramount Network.
