NBC have debuted the first trailer for the new series of Will & Grace which is set to hit the network later in the year. It was announced earlier this year that the network had officially asked for a ten-episode run of the new series, but Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes will return for 12 new episodes in the autumn.
Will & Grace first graced our TV screens back in 1998 from creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, and revolved around Will Truman (McCormack), a gay lawyer, and Grace Adler (Messing), a straight interior designer. The series, one of the first to feature a lead gay character, ran for eight seasons until 2006, and was nominated for no less than 83 Primetime Emmy Awards (winning 16) throughout its run.
The timeless show captured audiences, and remains close to millions of hearts in the 11 years since it last aired. The comedy will come back to screens very soon for its delayed ninth run with Mutchnick and Kohan returning, as well as director/ executive producer James Burrows.
