Shekhar Kapur, the director such films as Elizabeth and its sequel Elizabeth: The Golden Age as well as The Four Feathers and Bandit Queen will helm the planned authorised Bruce Lee biopic, Little Dragon.
The news comes via Variety who report that the story is a contemporary dramatisation of the 1950s Hong Kong social and political forces that shaped Bruce Lee into both the most famous martial arts star of all time and a significant modern day philosopher.
The trade adds that the film will be produced by Bruce Lee Entertainment, headed up by Lee’s daughter Shannon Lee, as well as Convergence Entertainment.
Pre=production has already kicked-off for a planned July shoot.
