Edge Of Tomorrow 2 title revealed by director Doug Liman
Edge Of Tomorrow, or indeed Live Die Repeat, aka All You Need Is Kill will be getting a sequel. The Edge Of Tomorrow 2 title will be Live Die Repeat and Repeat and will be brought to the screen by the first film’s director Doug Liman sometime in the near future. Hopefully.
The great news is that both Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are set to return, a fact that Liman confirmed in a recent interview with Collider.
“We have an amazing story! It’s incredible! Way better than the first film, and I obviously loved the first film. It will be called Live Die Repeat and Repeat. Tom [Cruise] is excited about it, and Emily Blunt is excited about it. The big question is just when we’ll do it. But it’s not an if, it’s a when.”
The first film, released back in 2014, grossed $370 million worldwide from a reported $170 million-plus budget, but the movie did find a much bigger audience on the home entertainment formats, hence the demand for the sequel.

Edge Of Tomorrow revolved around Tom Cruise’s Major William Cage, an officer who has never seen combat, is assigned to a suicide mission. Killed within moments, Cage finds himself thrown into a time loop, in which he relives the same brutal fight — and his death — over and over again. However, Cage’s fighting skills improve with each encore, bringing him and a comrade (Emily Blunt) ever closer to defeating the aliens.
What do you think of the Edge Of Tomorrow 2 title? We loved the first film, saying that ‘while it may be guilty of borrowing from a long list of other films but it somehow manages to stay fresh and entertaining from start to finish regardless.’ We can’t wait to see what the filmmakers do with a follow-up.
More as we get it.
