After teasing fans for months with slivers of footage, Showtime have given the world its closest gander yet at their much-anticipated Twin Peaks revival…
The new promo shows some of David Lynch and Mark Frost‘s classic characters in glorious (and indeed pensionable) motion, including series lead Kyle MacLachlan. Iconic snooper Special Agent Dale Cooper was last seen trapped in upholstered netherworld The Black Lodge… or was he?
A key talking point for ardent “Peakies” such as myself is the presence of Harry Dean Stanton, last seen in movie prequel Fire Walk With Me. The film famously deviated from the show in terms of continuity, so it’ll be interesting to see how Lynch ties everything together. Mind you, explanations were never his strong suit!
The saga returns May 21st.
