He’s has some pretty big success with this year’s horror/ social study Get Out, and now Jordan Peele has signed a massive first-look deal with Universal Pictures. Get Out received substantial critical acclaim and hit the spot with cinema-goers too, taking a huge $194 million (and climbing) around the world. This was from a production budget of around $4.5 million.
He will now stay with the studio that distributed Get Out for the two year deal, which he signed this week with them and his Monkeypaw Productions banner. He reportedly has four films already written, one of which is a go-project with a budget said to be four times bigger than Get Out.
The filmmaker will also team with producer Jason Blum will develop micro-budget projects for directors from backgrounds that traditionally get fewer opportunities because of their gender, race or sexuality, so
