Dwayne Johnson says his version of Baywatch is dirtier than the TV original

It has been a couple of decades since Baywatch spiced up our Saturday nights, but just a month or so until the modern-day version comes to screens led by the mighty Dwayne Johnson. Johnson appears in the forthcoming Fast and Furious 8, which opens in cinemas this week, and while out on the press tour, he touched on his next project and those Baywatch explicit scenes that will be presented before us in May. He spoke with British newspaper The Sun.

Baywatch explicit scenes

“We are far dirtier than the show ever was – obviously the show was a family show on at family time of day – but in the movie we could have been dirtier. I think people are going to be shocked that Baywatch has got dirty – but there are a lot of laughs … We worked hard to make sure the flesh quota was high, there’s more gratuitous boobs, bums, abs, whatever per minute than you can imagine. Plot was important, don’t get me wrong, but so was sorting out our slow motion runs.”

The new Baywatch movie is directed by Seth Gordon and also stars Zac Efron as Matt Brody, and Alexandra Daddario as Summer Quinn, and Kelly Rohrbach as the iconic C.J. Parker, a role played by Pamela Anderson in the TV original. The suggested Baywatch explicit scenes have secured the film an R-rating Stateside, so expect something similar – probably a BBFC ’15’ certificate’ on UK soil.

Baywatch follows devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchanan (Johnson) as he butts heads with a brash new recruit (Efron). Together, they uncover a local criminal plot that threatens the future of the Bay.

The new Baywatch movie will be slow-running into cinemas on May 25th, and of course, we’ll have a full review as soon as we possibly can. For more from the Dwayne Jonson interview, hit the link above.
