Katherine Waterston channels her inner Ellen Ripley in new ‘Alien Covenant’ poster

Can you believe that we’re just shy of a month away from the release of Alien Covenant? The film, which is being directed by directing God Ridley Scott will be both a sequel to Prometheus and a(nother) prequel to Alien. Yesterday we got our hands on a brand new set of TV spots for the film, today we’ve got a brand new poster (don’t say we never give you anything).

The poster sees Katherine Waterston‘s Daniels take centre stage alongside one of those pesky Giger Xenomorph’s. The image is striking, and clearly an homage to the posters for both Aliens and Alien 3 (see below).

Alien Covenant is releasing in 2D and IMAX, a very enticing proposition given the director, and will focus on a group of colonists as they set up a human outpost in the far reaches of space. The crew of the Covenant discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Previews for Alien Convenant start on 12th May 2017, opening properly on 19th May.
