Star Trek has a new captain. Jason Isaacs has joined the cast of the upcoming Star Trek Discovery for CBS and will play the male lead, Captain Lorca – the captain of the Starship Discovery.
According to an official release from CBS, Isaacs will join the production, which is already well underway.
Also amongst the cast is Sonequa Martin-Green as the main character Lieutenant Commander Rainsford, Doug Jones appears as science officer Saru, Anthony Rapp as science officer Stamets, Terry Serpico as Admiral Anderson, Maulik Pancholy as chief medical officer Nambue, and Sam Vartholomeos as junior Starfleet officer Connor.
Star Trek Discovery will premiere on CBS All Access Stateside, and on Netflix in 188 countries worldwide.
