Bad Boys 3, aka Bad Boys For Life has sadly lost its director in Joe Carnahan. The A-Team and NARC helmer wrote the latest version of the screenplay for the film, and according to The Hollywood Reporter has now parted ways with the project and will definitely not direct.
The trade says that an insider told them that the director has left due to scheduling conflicts, but other sources say it was the dreaded “creative differences.” Whether the news of Carnahan’s leaving will affect the set November 2018 release date is unclear.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have both committed to the project, which has been in development at Sony Pictures for quite some time. According to the same article on THR a search is already on for a new director and possibly a new writer.
Here’s a suggestion. Michael Bay?
