Secret Logan trailer unleashed to U.S. audiences!
There are no spoilers attached to this post regarding Logan, so don’t fear reading on. The only thing that can be spoiled for you here is the news of a pretty major teaser trailer that was attached to prints of the film in the United States. Do not read on if you want that spoiled for you… More on that secret Logan trailer after the image! Do not scroll down unless you want it spoiled for you… It is though, very, very awesome.
Still here?
Okay, we’re space this out, then begin.
So, the big news is that a very brief Deadpool 2 teaser trailer was attached to Logan for North American audiences, and SlashFilm has a breakdown of what can be seen as the film started to screen at midnight on Thursday night.
Here’s that description…
Two men get into a scuffle after an attempted alley mugging. Wade (Reynolds) walks by in his hoodie listening to Juice Newton’s “Angel of the Morning” and, upon seeing this, says “not in my city.” So begins a spoof of Superman’s phone booth changing scene, complete with John Williams theme. The tagline? “Deadpool…coming…not soon enough.”
Deadpool 2 helmer David Leitch directed the trailer, which gives us a little taste of what he’ll do with the new film. We just hope that 20th Century Fox do the decent thing and get this online ASAP. We’re guessing that they’ll let the weekend pass at least to give paying cinema-goers a unique little treat.
Logan is now playing in the UK and US – we’re assuming that this is not attached to UK prints, but if you know differently, alert us in the comments below. Also, if you’ve seen the secret Logan trailer anyway, do let us know your thoughts.
