Alien Covenant trailer alert!
As promised just yesterday, 20th Century Fox have debuted the brand new trailer for their upcoming sequel to Prometheus, the Ridley Scott-directed Alien: Covenant. Following the first trailer, which debuted on Christmas Day comes a more action-packed look at the film, as well as a glimpse of the famous Xenomorphs from the earlier Alien movies. Here’s the synopsis for the film:
Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
Michael Fassbender stars alongside Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Jussie Smolett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez, and Billy Crudup. We’re also expecting to see Noomi Rapace back as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, and James Franco as the Captain of the Covenant ship.
Alien: Covenant arrives in cinemas on May 12th, 2017, which is a full three months before it was due to land. Watch the brand new Alien Covenant trailer below, and check out the brand new poster which also debuted yesterday.
