Screenwriter Mark Boal and producer Megan Ellison are reportedly looking to bring a film based on the 2016 presidential election to screens. The news comes from solid source Deadline who say that the duo are describing as a “political drama” of between eight and 10 hours.
Boal is the man behind the likes of Zero Dark Thirty and The Hurt Locker, so don’t expect some sub-par soapy drama. The additional news to this is that Baol will make his directorial debut on the ambitious project. The trade blog says that Hugo Lindgren, a former editor of the New York Times magazine is assembling a group of investigative journalists in New York and Washington D.C. as contributors to the project.
