Musician, composer and actor Tim Minchin has been cast in the now-shooting Robin Hood: Origins as the character of Friar Tuck.
The film, which is set up at Lionsgate, features a superb cast that includes Taron Egerton as the title character, Jamie Foxx, Jamie Dornan, Eve Hewson, Ben Mendelsohn and Paul Anderson.
Minchin has acted befor in the TV series Californication, and is the mane behind the Tony Award-winning Matilda.
Visionary Peaky Blinders filmmaker Otto Bathurst is directing the Robin Hood film, which will be released in 2018 (March 23rd).
