The first trailer for the upcoming BBC One TV series SS-GB has debuted online. The ambitious event series is set to come to the British terrestrial TV channel in the near future, and will actually debut at this month’s Berlin Film Festival.
SS-GB is an extraordinary five part alternative-history thriller set against a Nazi occupied London. Sam Riley and Kate Bosworth lead the cast of the mini-series, which is based on the novel by Len Deighton. Neal Purvis and Robert Wade (Bond series) adapted the source material.
The Berlin debut spot is quite a lucrative one. Last year, the hugely successful The Night Manager made its first appearance, and then went on to huge glory both in terms of its audience reception and awards recognition.
