Could Mel Gibson play the father of Mark Wahlberg? Well maybe so as it looks like the sequel to Daddy’s Home is pressing ahead.
According to Deadline, John Lithgow is being eyed to play daddy to Will Ferrell’s Brad Whitaker, and Gibson would play the father of Mark Wahlberg‘s Dusty Mayron in the planned sequel, which has been given a release date of November 10, 2017. That’s pretty soon in the movie world with not one single frame being shot as yet.
The project is set up over at Paramount Pictures, and will be the sequel to the 2015 worldwide hit that brought in an astonishing $240 million globally.
Sean Anders and John Morris are writing the script with for the sequel, with Anders directing.
