Thomas Jane is the latest actor to join the cast of Shane Black‘s The Predator, the continuation/ redo of the hit franchise that began all of the way back in 1987.
Jane is best known for his roles as The Punisher and Hung, and he joins the already cast Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, and Sterling K. Brown.
Plot details are still being kept a little to Black’s chest, but rather than being in the jungle or the hard streets of Los Angeles, this one will reportedly take place in suburbia.
Filming on the movie is expected to start next month in Los Angeles with a release date set for February 2018. Shane Black wrote the script with Fred Dekker and will also direct.
Jane will next be seen in Hot Summer Nights with Maika Monroe and then 1922, an adaptation of Stephen King’s novella. News of his casting in The Predator was released via The Hollywood Reporter.
