According to The Wrap, DC Entertainment are looking at six big actors to potentially fill the role of Hal Jordan/ Green Lantern in the planned Green Lantern Corps movie, which David Goyer and Justin Rhodes are writing for a 2020 release.
Those actors are: Tom Cruise, Joel McHale, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, Armie Hammer, and Jake Gyllenhaal. Yes, they’re aiming high, but no talks have been entered into with any actor as yet. This is pure rumour.
Ryan Reynolds last played the character of Hal Jordan/ Green Lantern in Martin Campbell’s 2011 movie. He’s now busy with the Deadpool series, so a return to the role is doubtful, but stranger things have happened.
There’s a chance that either Jordan or maybe DC character John Stewart may appear in a DC prior to the Green Lantern Corps movie, possibly even in Justice League: Part 2, which will debut in 2019. Sterling K. Brown recently tweeted putting himself forward for the Stewart GLC role, which is being pitched as Lethal Weapon in space.
That’s about all we have, but kick on over to The Wrap to read the original article.
